So where we last left off, I was discussing how I used the internet to help develop my relationship with Christ. I had a lot of questions about where to begin my studies and felt foolish about asking people. I had my Bible, but for someone who was away as long as I was, I felt I needed to hear the Gospel - not just read it. I needed to understand from someone who lives within the Word before I could take those steps myself.
Now in hindsight, let me say that feeling foolish about asking questions was, well, just foolish. The fact is that asking questions and speaking with people about Christ is what we are supposed to do. As a child it’s expected to ask questions about everything, but as we get older we get this sense of being judged by others that holds us back sometimes. With certain things, we feel that they are in the boundaries of acceptable questions. It’s funny how we wouldn’t think twice about asking the sales person in a major electronics store about the latest technology or ask a waiter at a restaurant about an item on the menu. We do those things without reservation or feeling that we are being judged. But, when it comes to Christ it seems that there is a feeling that you should know these things. This is a major falsehood as well. God made us curious, He wants us to ask the questions, to get the information we need and to use that information to take a step towards Him. For some it’s a moment, for others its an on going journey. He knows this, He knows you. As an aside Airborne: Getting Your Faith off the Ground a book by Jose Zayas helped me with this issue as well.
It took some time for me to realize this and to be able to put aside my feelings about judgment of others but I was able to overcome my own personal pride through listening to others speak. Fortunately, I work in front of a computer most days so I was able to find some interesting Christian podcasts to listen to that helped answer some questions, give me the knowledge I needed to ask more questions and help me in taking the steps forward in my relationship with Christ.

Sitting at my desk with my iPod or in my car or just sitting in the living room I found some great Christian podcasts to listen to while I work, drive or just spend my time alone with Christ. You don’t even need a iPod to do this. You can download iTunes (free) and just listen through your PC or Mac as well.
I have included some of my recent podcast finds below. These podcasts don’t represent nearly all that is out there and you should find the ones that speak to you personally, but the ones that I found might be helpful to get you started. I am always looking for new ones to listen to, so feel free to add a comment below to add your suggestions.
