Don't be afraid of the lights. We're just driving by.It is with great pleasure that we announce a new contributor to Lightvox: Amy Sondova aka Backseat Writer. I have been reading Amy’s personal blogs for some time, she is a brilliant writer, talented photographer and all-around nice person. Through her personal blog and e-zine Amy covers issues from mental illness, self-injury, working with teenagers, and Christianity.

One day, as I was chatting back and forth with her via email, Amy suggested that we work on some projects together - cross posting articles and contributing commentary. I thought this would be a great idea and I started working on my first post for her. As I was writing, I thought - Amy truly embodies the reasons behind creating a collaborative Christian Music Magazine like Lightvox. She shares her insight into Christian Music, youth ministry, teen issues and life in general on a regular basis through her personal blog and e-zine and she is always willing to engage in conversation to support the efforts of others.

So after a number of days of thought, I contacted Amy asking her if she would be a regular contributor of reviews, interviews and commentary to the magazine and her response was true to form of what I have learned of Amy just from our emails and reading her work.

“We’re all called to use our gifts, and working together seems to be what the Bible calls us to do. ” -Amy

Her humor, understanding of youth issues, objective interviews and reviews are a great addition to the magazine and I look forward to working with Amy as we continue to grow.

Please join me to welcome Amy and her column “Voice From The Backseat”.

And to Amy, thank you for letting us share your words and your gift.

-Christopher and Shelley

Christopher is a Christian, husband, graphic designer, web programmer, photographer, ninja, poet, cat whisperer (though I think my own cats don't speak English). I tend to write as it comes out so I keep the editor quite busy. I have the grammar skills of a Nerf football but it makes sense if you read it over a few times.
