Orlando, FL (November 14, 2008) - Two of the biggest winners on Election Day were comedian and impersonator John Morgan, ABC Television’s “The Next Best Thing” finalist and “The Definitive President George W. Bush,” and fellow political impersonator Patsy Gilbert (”Governor Sarah Palin”) who were caught up in a whirlwind of media visits in Atlanta last week during the final days leading up to the Presidential election.

Bringing an Election Day message celebrating American unity and the privilege every American has of casting their ballot, the pair made television appearances on “Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta,” as well as FamilyNet’s “Mornings!” and “EveryDay with Marcus & Lisa,” among other media interviews. In addition, they made a surprise visit to an exuberant crowd at the Fulton County Republican Headquarters before Gilbert accompanied Morgan to his book signings at Waldenbooks in Atlanta’s CNN Center and Lifeway in Alpharetta, GA, where they delighted shoppers with their humorous take on the great American Election Day tradition.

“Although George W. Bush will be leaving the Oval Office in January, he, like his predecessors, will be now free to step onto the broader world stage to continue to build his legacy,” commented Morgan. “I believe his move from incumbent President to respected statesman will afford him–and me–even more opportunities than ever to touch lives and influence culture! We’re just getting started!”

Morgan’s media blitz was to promote the popular impersonator’s latest endeavor, the newly launched PresidentialImpersonators.com. The brainchild of Vince Wilcox, Morgan’s manager and a top entertainment marketing consultant, the site features America’s most extraordinary presidential and political impersonators, including Morgan and newcomer Gilbert, among others. This elite family of look-alikes has appeared extensively on major networks, cable news and entertainment shows, live concerts, and feature films, mesmerizing their audiences with the powerful illusion of being in the presence of history’s most celebrated leaders.

“The impersonators represented on PresidentialImpersonators.com entertain, inspire and astound audiences with comedy, drama and music in a way that is unashamedly patriot, family-friendly, uplifting and sensitive to the political, cultural and religious perspectives of the audience,” says Wilcox.
Morgan recently released his debut book, “My Life as a Bush…and My Heart for Imitating Jesus,” co-written with Wilcox with a forward by Governor Mike Huckabee. The book illustrates how the same principles that helped Morgan become “The Next Best Thing” to President George W. Bush are actually biblical precepts that can encourage believers to become authentic imitators of Jesus Christ. Penned as a motivational autobiography, the book is filled with laugh-out-loud stories, audacious encounters and biblical insights, with each chapter highlighting a compelling aspect of imitating Christ and inviting readers to pursue God’s calling on their lives.

Ever since the Republican Party of Florida discovered John Morgan working as a Bush campaign volunteer and brought him in to entertain at high profile events including President Bush’s 2005 Inauguration in Washington, D.C., even those closest to the President have been astounded at Morgan’s amazing impersonation. Vice President Dick Cheney summed it up best when he told Morgan, “You’re a dead ringer!”

Dubbed “the smarter, better, funnier version of George Bush,” when he appeared on ABC Television’s “The Next Best Thing,” the award-winning comedian/impersonator’s list of appearances also includes such highlights as ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “The View,” NBC’s “Today Show,” CNN’s “Headline News,” Fox News “Dayside,” “Family Feud” and Fox Television personality Sean Hannity’s 2007 “Freedom Concert” series. Morgan also imitates President George W. Bush at corporate events around the world for companies such as Bell South, IBM, Bank of America, World Vision, City of Hope and Zap Cars.

Along the way, Morgan has shared the stage with notable politicians and political pundits including U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, Sean Hannity, Col. Oliver North, Neal Boortz and James Carville; prominent personalities including Barbara Walters, Steve Forbes, Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight (”National Treasure”), author Josh McDowell (”Evidence That Demands a Verdict”) and CNN’s Brian Christie; and musical superstars including Lee Greenwood, Montgomery Gentry, LeAnn Rimes, Charlie Daniels, Michael W. Smith and Kirk Franklin.

“My Life as a Bush…and My Heart for Imitating Jesus” is available through Creation House, a Strang Company. For more information about John Morgan and his new book, “My Life as a Bush…and My Heart for Imitating Jesus,” visit www.georgebushimpersonator.com or www.presidentialimpersonators.com.
