Why I Want To Be Bart Millard’s Friend On Twitter

Over the past few weeks I have been hearing a version on satellite radio of Mercyme’s I Can Only Imagine that just sends shivers up my spine (in a good way not like the scary movie or nails on a blackboard thing).

About the author:

Christopher is a Christian, husband, graphic designer, web programmer, photographer, ninja, poet, cat whisperer (though I think my own cats don't speak English). I tend to write as it comes out so I keep the editor quite busy. I have the grammar skills of a Nerf football but it makes sense if you read it over a few times.

Mercyme on a sofa

Over the past few weeks I have been hearing a version on satellite radio of Mercyme’s I Can Only Imagine that just sends shivers up my spine (in a good way not like the scary movie or nails on a blackboard thing). It’s an acoustic version and they say on the screen “Spirit Radio Exclusive”. So I was very disappointed that I was not able to get a copy. I was tempted to find my tape recorder that I got when I was 9 and sit in my car for hours so that I could hear it again.

But surprise, surprise, surprise.

On Friday the fine folks over at INO Records sent me an email with a link. A link to what you ask? I am glad you asked! Apparently, there is an iTunes exclusive that came out in March and if you haven’t purchased it you should. Mercyme Itunes Original

That’s the link to buy it you just passed.

Ok. I will wait……

So anyway, as I was about to write this post about Mercyme and the iTunes original and the acoustic version of I Can Only Imagine (which is great by the way you should buy it. See link above) I decided to check in with Bart that zany, wacky, full of life, makes me laugh out loud guy and see what crazy antics he has been up to. Bart looks very much like my younger brother. I don’t know if that is relevant to this posting but I felt I needed to say it.

As I was checking in with Bart to see what else is going on I found this. I hope our readers will join me as I will definitely be doing this.

And now you can understand why I want Bart to be my friend on Twitter. It’s like he is my sunshine, you know my only sunshine and makes me happy when skies are gray and stuff.

In all seriousness though, It’s going to be a great album with special guests like Vince Gill and Anthony Evans and a portion of the proceeds go to Bart’s organization Imagine A Cure.

Plus as Christian Music Fans wouldn’t it be cool to make a record breaking number of pre-order sales on iTunes? You can pre-order the CD here: Bart Millard Hymned Again

For more information about Bart Millard’s Hymned Again check out his website at www.bartmillard.org

For new Mercyme info and just a good ‘ol time check out www.mercyme.org they have some really fun videos to watch.

And of course to help find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes please contribute to the JDRF at imagineacureonline.com and to increase awareness if you have a blog, website or facebook page add our widget.

Thanks again and hopefully now Bart will add me to Twitter.
